Tomorrow (12/14/23)
BambuLab is releasing the A1! Should be a fantastic printer at a great price. Especially the combo deal with the AMS lite. This printer (imo) will probably be the go-to beginner printer if you are looking for something pretty close to plug n play with extremely little to no tinkering and the shortest learning curve for the cheapest price. (For most people)
The combo will be around $539 +\- but trust me, if you are thinking of getting a $200-$300 printer, do yourself a favor and save up a little more to get something that will be easy to setup and ease into the hobby.
This technology wasn't around when I started but it sure would have helped and made things a ton easier. I guess on the flip side I probably wouldn't have been forced to learn/experience everything I did. I almost feel like the old story my Dad used to tell me growing up, "when I was you're age I used to have to walk uphill in the snow for miles to get to school, now you kids have hoverboards and electric scooters...," hahahaha
I am even highly considering getting one as a second printer. If I do, I'll make a comparison video specifically related to guns of the X1C (their best printer (core x/y)) and the A1 (their newest and almost cheapest printer (bedslinger)).
Anyways... If you plan getting the A1 or are interested in it, drop a comment below and us know your thoughts/concerns.
We just upgraded to the Bambu lab X1 from a $179.00 printer. It did cost about $1,500.00, but the print quality and the ability to modify the print in progress is unbelievable. Now we have to reprint all our lowers with the X1. Definitely follow the advice above and spend a few more dollars!!
