My 1st 3D printer arrives this Saturday. No I couldn't justify the $1500 for the Bamboo Lab X1C, so as my introduction to this technology I bought the Ender S1 Plus Bundle for $369. ( My Christmas gift to myself). Sure, I could have waited longer, saved more, and maybe researched till the next new printer created a price drop, but I still wouldn't have any real-life experience, so here goes. I have some projects I want to make and this will at least get my hands dirty. This is where I'll be beginning my journey in the 3D world. Anyone who can offer advice, direction and/or support is very much appreciated.
My thought is I will practice with the included projects and interface in order to have enough understanding of the basics. Then I want to start looking for projects that I can download and modify.
This will be all new to me, so I officially start this weekend. Wish me luck.
You mentioned slicers, isn't there one that Ender gives you for free (Creality Print). I haven't tried it yet, but I thought it would be the best one to work with my printer. I'm not interested in learning several slicers, so I would like to know your thoughts on that subject since you seemed to have tried several different slicer programs.
